With our China office located strategically in HuaQiangBei, the largest electronics Market in the world, we are immersed with the best and latest products trends, along with a diverse range of suppliers and value-added services.

In addition, we have ground presence in other Chinese cities, leveraging on their own Specialised Product Genres:

Ben Kaw

Co-Founder & Director

Enthusiastic. Joyful. Passionate about business. That’s how you’ll describe Ben when you meet him. He is a good listener and always making clients feel at home.

Ben has a wealth of knowledge across multiple disciplines and industries. With strong business acumen, and corporate experience in business operations, sales, customer service and Information Systems, he makes sure you see huge profitability and significant value proposition.

Ben is your gateway to the SourceX ecosystem, with every conversation gearing towards launching your product ideas into the “stratosphere!” He also ensures great care and dedication placed on each and every project he embarks on.

Ben started out in Singapore as a part-time salesman in 2006 while studying for a Business Management Degree with RMIT. He sold anything online such as gifts, toys and desktop accessories. After graduating in 2008, he moved into Full-time Banking Sales, Selling Investment and Insurance products before specialising in Mortgage Sale. In 2013, he migrated to Brisbane and took up a Masters Degree in Information Systems with The University of Queensland. From 2015, he commenced a new career in Business Process Analysis and Data Analytics with a focus on Sales Optimisation and CRM.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he noticed significant supply side issues impacting many small business. Prices shot up and many overseas suppliers went under.  These challenges let him to wonder, “Is there a better way?”

Throughout the challenging period, Ben and Phil kept in close contact and planned out a better and more reliable way to serve our clients here in Australia. Hence, SourceX Pty Ltd was established.

Phil Zhao

Co-Founder & Director

Phil grew up at the heart of the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone in China. His family and friends are mostly manufacturers and business folks contributing to the region’s miracle and economic success. He currently operates at HuaQiangBei, the world largest Electronics Marketplace.

Phil specialises in Product Sourcing, ODM / OEM manufacturing, Quality Assurances, Customs clearance and International shipping. He cuts through all middleman and gets the lowest prices and reliability assurances directly from owners and CEOs. If you have a product with an existing supplier, let him know and he’ll tell you where and and who its sourced from. Most importantly, he will get you a better deal with the right supplier.

Phil completed both his Bachelors (Business) and Masters degrees (IT) in Brisbane before returning to work as a Business Manager at a large Consumer Electronics Manufacturer.

For the first 3 years, Phil was involved in all aspects of the Manufacturing and exporting business, while being mentored by the CEO. Throughout the experience, he befriended many like-minded and talented individuals who would later become part of his team of established sourcing experts.

For the next 3 years, Phil established his own firm in Shenzhen with the support of his many family connections and experienced professionals who have worked alongside him. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the industry was significantly challenged. His nimble business acumen enabled him to consolidate and reorganise his resources to focus on what really matters, that is to offer great personalised and reliable service experiences to clients. With that in mind, he established SourceX Pty Ltd with Ben in Australia to be closer to his clients.
